McCartney to lead Glastonbury line-up
The final line-up for this year’s Glastonbury Festival was confirmed today, with Oasis and Paul McCartney leading the line up.
Other big names at the June event include Morrissey, PJ Harvey, the Black Eyed Peas and Nelly Furtado.
Oasis will headline the main Pyramid stage on Friday, followed by McCartney on Saturday and Muse on Sunday.
Other acts on the Pyramid stage at Worthy Farm, Somerset, include Kings of Leon, the Scissor Sisters, Joss Stone, the Libertines and James Brown.
The festival will also see the English National Opera perform part of Wagner’s Ring Cycle with a 90-piece orchestra on the final day.
Other performers this year include Sister Sledge, the Chemical Brothers, Goldfrapp, Franz Ferdinand, Basement Jaxx, Orbital, Belle And Sebastian and the Divine Comedy.
Tickets for the June 25-27 festival, which cost £112 (€168.50), have all been snapped up.
