Depp and Paradis to co-star in new film

Johnny Depp is continuing his one-man crusade to improve US-French relations by agreeing to star with his wife Vanessa Paradis in a new film, The Gypsy’s Curse, based on a book by Harry Crew.

Depp will play the gypsy, naturally, and Paradis a dangerous temptress in the small budget (€150m) mystery.

Depp had said just a few months ago that he was unlikely ever to work with his wife, adding: “I like keeping things separate – she does her work, I do mine.”

Depp is also in talks to play Superman’s dad Jor-El in a new take on the comic book classic.
