Parky bows out from BBC with little ceremony

Talk show host Michael Parkinson has bowed out from the BBC, after more than 20 years with the corporation.

In his last show before joining ITV, the 69-year-old said it was not a “solemn occasion” and bade farewell with little fanfare.
