Based on a real crime spree, we have here one of those films which isn’t sure what it intends to be … plus it’s not all that good.

Kilmer plays porn stud John Holmes, much taken with lines of white powder, who becomes the chief suspect when one of his sleazy pals is murdered. But did he do it?

Kilmer is a good actor and he does his best trying to make a ghastly character sympathetic, and there is a particularly good contribution from Kudrow … but the screenplay is all over the place and the directing weak.
