Terminator actor accused of being drunk on set
A Russian production firm is suing Terminator actor Michael Biehn for breach of contract, alleging he showed up drunk during filming and made sexual advances toward production staff.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of the Russian production company CTB Film, which is making the film The American
The film stars Biehn as an American stockbroker who loses millions when a Russian company he invests in declares bankruptcy. The stockbroker travels to Russia to seek justice.
According to the suit, Biehn showed up drunk on the second day of filming in Russia.
Biehn was “excessively intoxicated, his speech slurred and erratic, and he had trouble walking,” according to the lawsuit.
At times, he carried a Pepsi bottle containing vodka, was belligerent with the film crew and made advances on female production employees, the suit alleges. The behaviour continued for several days, according to the suit.
CTB claims scenes with Biehn shot in Russia were useless, forcing the company to suspend production.
Biehn, 47, starred in The Terminator opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1984 and has appeared in Aliens, The Rock and The Abyss, as well as the TV show Hill Street Blues.
