Nicole Kidman makes UN visit

Nicole Kidman turned heads at the United Nations in New York last night.

Nicole had the honour of being the first actress to make a movie inside the world body's East River headquarters, after director Sydney Pollack convinced UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and the Security Council to allow filming of 'The Interpreter' there.

So last night the actress and director obliged a star-struck diplomatic corps and Australian expats at a reception at the UN, where the movie is being shot at weekends.
