Live performances lead to DVD surge

Coldplay, U2 and Robbie Williams have sparked a huge surge in DVD sales in Britain, figures showed today.

DVDs featuring artists live in concert have helped sales almost double in the UK in the past year while there has also been major increases in sales in Ireland.
