Victoria Beckham vowed her marriage would survive as she and husband David have been pictured in a in a French ski resort.
The England captain has been beset by rumours he had a fling with his former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos.
The 26-year-old worked for him as he settled into life in the Spanish capital after his move to Real Madrid last year.
She worked for the SFX Group, the sports management company which looked after the Beckhams.
Reports of the alleged affair broke in the News of the World on Sunday, but Posh and Becks were photographed looking happy and playful in snaps taken at the start of a holiday in the luxury ski resort of Courchevel in the French Alps.
And in her first comment on the scandal, Posh told The Sun newspaper: “We have been through a lot worse than this, and we’re definitely going to get through this.”
The 28-year-old soccer star met up with his family in Switzerland yesterday, just 24 hours after labelling reports of the affair as “ludicrous”.
The multi-millionaire midfielder will spend a couple of days with his wife and children in what sources said was a pre-planned break.
Ms Loos’ brother, John, insisted yesterday the allegations were true. Beckham’s father Ted refused to comment.
In his statement on Sunday, Beckham said: “The simple truth is that I am very happily married, have a wonderful wife and two very special kids.
“There is nothing that any third party can do to change these facts.”
The News of the World – which also published explicit text messages which it claimed were sent between Beckham and his then-employee – has stood by its story “100%” and sources in the Beckham camp have refused to be drawn on whether he is considering legal action.
England coach Sven Goran Eriksson refused to comment on the allegations when quizzed at an event in London yesterday.
The reports claimed Beckham invited Ms Loos back to his Madrid hotel room on September 18 last year after a night out drinking.
This was reported to be one in a series of four meetings, before the footballer broke off both his relations with SFX and with Ms Loos last December.
The newspaper said he never saw her again but it published a series of explicit text messages which were reportedly sent between the football star and Ms Loos as recently as last month.
The alleged revelations were told via a “family friend” of Ms Loos.
Ms Loos has refused to comment but her brother John was reported as saying: “Rebecca was upset when she parted company with David and Victoria last year.
“She became very down and cried a lot. At times she looked heartbroken.
“I thought it was because of professional reasons. But now I am beginning to understand there must have been more to it.”
Beckham was pictured with Ms Loos last September but he and his wife issued a statement at the time insisting their relationship was fine.
The Beckhams have spent a considerable amount of time apart in recent months, with Victoria working with rapper Damon Dash in New York and her husband remaining in Madrid.
