Ferrell in running for Nazi playwright role

Will Ferrell is in talks to play Franz Liebkind, the Nazi playwright behind the flop Springtime For Hitler, in the movie version of Mel Brooks' musical The Producers.

He would join Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick and Nicole Kidman in the film, which will be directed by Susan Stroman.
