Hemmings memorial service

The unfailing charm and tireless entertaining of actor David Hemmings were remembered by family and friends from the showbusiness world at a memorial service.

Stars including Derek Jacobi, Joanna Lumley, Bob Hoskins, Tom Courtenay, Robert Powell, Ray Winstone and David Soul gathered to pay tribute to the 62-year-old, who died in December after a heart attack in Romania where he had just completed acting in the film Samantha’s Child.

Three of his six children and two of his four wives were among those at St Mary’s Church, Paddington Green, in central London for the service.
