Star hairdresser takes on a new role

Nearly everyone in Hollywood dreams of stardom and Tinseltown’s top celebrity stylist Philip Bloch is no exception. Bloch dresses all the big names – Halle, Julia, Cameron – and now he’s getting his own time in the spotlight.

Bloch has his first film role in The Unseen. “I play a blind, abused shut-in Southerner. I just spent two months in the Atlanta Centre for the Visually Impaired for research.

"Considering what people like me to do for my career,” he adds, “with the Oscars, awards, glitz, gloss, shoes, jewels and all the nonsense that makes up our lives in Hollywood, living amongst the blind is a jolt. You begin to understand what life is really about.”
