Prince hits the big screen again

Prince has announced plans to broadcast a live concert to cinemas around the US on March 29.

The Los Angeles gig - the first major show in Prince's Musicology tour - will be shown via satellite at 32 Regal Cinema venues around the country.

He has pledged to perform many of his old hits for the last time on the tour, which takes in 38 cities.

The singer will be reunited with his old band the New Power Generation for the first time in six years.

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old performer will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next Monday.
