Westlife may face life without Brian

Boyband Westlife was making an announcement today amid rumours suggesting singer Bryan McFadden could be quitting.

The boys behind hits like Flying Without Wings, Queen Of My Heart and Uptown Girl, were making the announcement in Dublin.

Westlife has denied it is splitting up, but industry insiders believe that McFadden, 24, who is married to I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Queen Kerry, could be leaving.

Westlife have notched up 13 number ones but their new single – Obvious – is currently number at number 10 after it entered the charts at number three.

The singers broke records after emerging on the scene in May 1999, when Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan and McFadden became the only act to reach number one with their first seven releases.

A record-breaking 11 out of the band’s first 13 singles entered the chart at number one.

But this year they were beaten to the top spot by pop star Peter Andre, when his re-released song Mysterious Girl topped the singles charts.

Some believe the future of the band could be in doubt if heart-throb McFadden, who has two children with the former Atomic Kitten singer, quits.
