Radio 2's company for Dermot

TV presenter Dermot O’Leary has been unveiled as BBC Radio 2’s latest signing.

He will host a Saturday afternoon show beginning this autumn, featuring a mix of music and phone-ins.

O’Leary, 30, presenter of Big Brother’s Little Brother and last seen on Channel 4’s Shattered, previously hosted a radio show on Xfm.

Radio 2 controller Lesley Douglas said: “Dermot is a brilliant communicator, understands music and loves the radio. We think he will make a wonderful addition to the station.”
