Damien Dempsey star of Meteor awards

Damien Dempsey has walked away with two awards at the 2004 Meteor Ireland Music Awards, hosted by Dara O’Briain at The Point.

The 28-year-old singer songwriter from Dublin was named Best Folk/Trad Act and Best Irish Country/Roots Artist for his unique sound which draws from a wide range of influences including traditional Irish, Sean Nós, Bob Marley and Elvis.
