P Diddy appears in US court in assault case

P Diddy has appeared in court in Detroit over allegations that he assaulted a radio show host.

Roger Mills claims he was injured by the rapper's bodyguards after asking him about the death of Notorious BIG on his talk show in 1999.

He is seeking damages for assault, false imprisonment, emotional distress and destruction of property.

P Diddy said in court that his busy schedule made it difficult for him to remember the incident.

However, he did say he remembered ending the interview abruptly after Mr Mills asked him to respond to claims that he contributed to the death of Notorious BIG.

Notorious BIG was shot dead in March 1997.
