Friends star Jennifer considers Matt finish

Fans of hit sitcom Friends could be in for a surprise – actress Jennifer Aniston says she would be happy to join Matt Le Blanc in his new show.

The 35-year-old actress has filmed her last episodes as dizzy Rachel Green in Friends.

Matt is set to star in Joey, a spin-off from the hit series which is now being shown on Channel 4.

Jennifer said she had no plans to do her own spin-off as she wants to concentrate on her movie career.

But the actress said she might be willing to put in a one-off appearance Matt’s new show, featuring Joey’s exploits in Los Angeles.

She said: “If Matt asked me to step in, of course I would. I would do anything for him.”

Jennifer, who is married to Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, was in London to promote her new film Along Came Polly,

In the romantic comedy she plays Polly, a free-spirited character who turns around the life of Reuben, a risk-avoiding insurance actuary, played by comic actor Ben Stiller.

Launching the film in London today, Jennifer said: “Polly is definitely a free spirit. She has a fear of commitment but when she meets Reuben that gets thrown to the wind.”

She said she didn’t have to look far to find inspiration for the part: “I based her on a girlfriend of mine.

"She’s adorable, She loved it. It was easy.”
