'Cowell would be best contestant for I'm A Celebrity'

I'm a Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec think Simon Cowell would be the ideal contestant for the next show.

The presenters believe the public would vote for Pop Idol's Mr Nasty to take on all the bushtucker trials.

With the latest series just finished, the next one's already planned for November.

However, Ant and Dec say Cowell would probably never be persuaded to take part, says the Daily Record.

Dec said: "It would be fantastic to get Simon, but I don't know if he could face a daily bush tucker trial because that's what would certainly happen to him."

While Cowell may not be persuaded to take part, singer Charlotte Church is believed to be interested.

Her mother Maria said: "Charlotte is a big fan and would love to do it."
