Jungle celebs set to be quids in

The winner of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! stands to make more than £1m (€1.4m) from the show – and they won’t be the only one.

All of the contestants will be hoping to cash in with big money deals for interviews, photoshoots and TV appearances.

Jordan is likely to make the most money – she is being paid a reported £500,000 (€732,200) to tell her story of what really went on in the camp.

Her appearance on the show will also boost sales of her planned autobiography.

The glamour girl spent much of her time in the jungle plugging the book by hinting it will contain revelations about flings with a string of celebrities.

Appearing on I’m A Celebrity can also lead to lucrative work in the media.

Every contestant will be hoping to emulate the success of Linda Barker, who appeared in the show last year.

The former Changing Rooms presenter has made £2m (€2.9m) from her appearance on the show.

Since leaving the jungle she has appeared in adverts for Currys (voted among the most annoying ads of 2003), designed her own range of sofas for DFS, released a yoga video and hosted ITV show With A Little Help From My Friends, to name but a few.

Last year’s winner, Phil Tufnell, has also done well out of the reality show.

He landed a job as team captain on They Think It’s All Over, bagged his own radio show and released a video, Tuffers On Tour.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, star of the first series, is now a TV presenter and signed a lucrative deal to appear in the Walkers Crisps ads.

Other stars to boost their careers thanks to I’m A Celebrity are Rhona Cameron (hosted her own TV shows), Wayne Sleep (released a fitness video) and Danniella Westbrook (landed a part in the new Carry On film).

Lord Brocket’s agent said she was staggered by the amount of interest in her client since he appeared on the show.

“I thought he’d get a few offers, but it’s absolutely ridiculous,” she said.

The fraudster has been invited to pose naked for a women’s magazine, become an underwear model and appear in panto, amongst other offers.
