Fifth time lucky as Joan finds secret to love

She’s been married five times but at last Joan Collins has discovered the secret behind a successful relationship.

The former Dynasty star, 70, is about to star in a new play, which will see husband Percy Gibson work with her as stage manager.

Promoting the romantic comedy in London today, the actress said: “This is the third time we have worked together. We get along brilliantly so I feel great about it.”

Asked about the secret to a successful relationship, Collins said: “Just being each other’s best friend. Sharing everything, and being on the same wavelength.

“My husband and I started off as friends which has been very important for our relationship.”

But the actress, who is a fan of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Evictee Lord Brocket, conceded she was no expert on men.

“Some of them are wonderful. Some of them are pretty horrible.

“You can’t generalise about men just as you can’t generalise about people. I’m not a great expert.”
