'Beaten' Gest wants Minnelli to take lie-detector

David Gest challenged estranged wife Liza Minnelli today to take a lie-detector test in his bid to prove that she battered him during drunken rages.

Gest has filed for divorce and is suing Minnelli, claiming that she left him with lasting injuries during their marriage.
