Phone Booth took 30 years to hit screen

A recent story revealed that Colin Farrell's 'Phone Booth' took 30 years to reach the screen.

It seems that the story was first written by Larry Cohen as a film for Alfred Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren, but they couldn't find a credible way to keep the central character trapped in the kiosk for the entire film.

It was also revealed that the original hero was to be Tony Curtis.
