Jersey Girl 'not a Bennifer movie'
Jennifer Lopez won’t have to promote her upcoming movie Jersey Girl with ex-fiance Ben Afflleck according to imdb.com.
Her role is only 12 minutes long in the film and then she dies.
Director Kevin Smith, who is a longtime buddy of Affleck, says they never had plans for J Lo to promote the film.
He explains: "There weren't plans beforehand for (Lopez) to be there at the March 5 press junket in New York, so the break-up doesn't affect that. But I expect Ben to get hammered with questions."
The film studio doesn’t want this film to be promoted as a ‘Bennifer’ project and has continually played down her participation in the picture, which will be released in America March 19.
The diva is hardly in the trailer which makes it clear she dies giving birth early on and that Affleck’s character then moves onto a relationship with Lord Of The Rings beauty Liv Taylor.
Lopez is also nowhere to be seen on posters for the film which features Affleck with Raquel Castro who plays their daughter.
Smith adds, "Now that the trailer's out, people are getting (the idea) that it's not a 'Bennifer' movie."
