Haddon scoops Whitbread award

Author Mark Haddon was celebrating today after his novel The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-Time scooped the Whitbread Book of The Year award.

The tale of a 15-year-old boy with Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism, was praised by the judges as “extraordinary”.
