Love banking on new album
Troubled Courtney Love is hoping that if her new album is a smash hit it will help turn her life around.
The former Hole frontwoman and sometime actress wants America’s Sweetheart to mark a turning point in her life when it is released on February 9.
Love is currently trying to recover from her alcohol and drug addictions in order to regain custody of her daughter Frances Bean – her child with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
The 39-year-old lost custody to Kurt’s mother following her arrest in November after an alleged incident at a house in Beverly Hills, California.
She says: "This coming year will be an opportunity for me to get my life back together. I am a musician and that is how I want to be remembered.
"Carrying on with my music will mean that I have something to focus on and do well with. I know have been labeled as a bit of a waster in the past. All that I want to say is from now on all will be well."
