Lulu shouts about her latest discovery

Singer Lulu has unveiled the secret which keeps her looking young – “lots of good sex”.

The 55-year-old said she had been making up for lost time since ridding herself of her mother’s Victorian values.

Lulu, who has had the odd fling with younger men, including a 21-year-old model, since her divorces from the late Bee Gee Maurice Gibb and celebrity hairdresser John Frieda, said she had no plans to settle down.

She told Closer magazine: “I owe my youthful looks to good food, good exercise, a good hairdresser … and lots of good sex!

“I’ve had a couple of flings and they have been fun. I thought to myself: ‘If you can do that and not get too caught up in being attached, that’s the best position’. Younger men are great for that!”

The diminutive pop star said her mother Betty’s Victorian values had left her repressed until she hit the age of 48.

“My mother bought me up to think that sex is really only for men, and women just put up with it. This is what I believed! I took her word for it.”
