Ex-England managers star in crisps ad

Two former England football managers team up in the latest TV advert for Walkers Crisps.

Terry Venables appears as the devil and Bobby Robson an angel in the commercial with Gary Lineker.

Venables wants Lineker to steal crisps from a child, while Robson urges him to do the right thing and leave them.

The first of the commercials for the new ‘improved’ Cheese & Onion flavour will be shown early next month.

Lineker, who played for Venables at Tottenham Hotspur, is fighting to keep his hands on his crisps.

He said: “Working with Terry and Bobby on a TV ad was a bit weird for me as they were both my managers and I’ve ever only seen them as the gaffers.

“I couldn’t help thinking about the kind of stick they would take if they turned up in the dressing room looking like that.”

Previous stars to appear in the Walkers’ commercials include Victoria Beckham, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Steve Redgrave, Michael Owen and Paul Gascoigne.
