Michelle makes it two in a row
Pop Idol victor Michelle McManus has continued her winning streak by extending her reign at the top of the UK charts.
The 23-year-old Glaswegian made history last week after becoming the first Scottish female to make a chart debut at number one.
And Michelle, who received 10 million votes in the televised contest, is continuing to out-sell the opposition with her single, All This Time, which today remains at number one.
Last week’s number three, Milkshake by Kelis, has risen to number two, followed by new entry Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand.
The former number one, Mad World by Gary Jules, has now slipped to number four and Boogie Pimps, with Somebody to Love, stay at number five.
The positions of the three best-selling albums remain unchanged from last week, with Dido’s Life for Rent still topping the charts, followed by Friday’s Child by Will Young and Elephunk by the Black Eyed Peas.
