Hardline Muslims want 'vulgar' Mariah banned

Muslims in Malaysia are calling for Mariah Carey to be banned from performing in the country because she's "vulgar".

The leader of the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party's youth wing claims that the singer presents herself in an unacceptable manner and that "she's not an appropriate role model for young Malaysians".

Mariah is due to perform in Kuala Lumpar on February 22 after receiving official permission but the political group has criticised the decision, saying it promotes and condones values that are totally

contrary to their way of life and culture.
