Beirut date for Mariah

Mariah Carey is to perform in Beirut in her first appearance in the Arab world.

She will be performing at BIEL, a seafront exhibition and leisure centre, reports MTV.com.

The February 24 concert is part of Carey's Charmbracelet world tour and will be followed by a performance in Dubai on February 26.

The singer is attempting to relaunch her career after having a breakdown in 2002.
