Frasier set to end after 11th series

Frasier is expected to end this year after its 11th series.

Variety says an official announcement is expected this week at a press conference involving the cast.

Kelsey Grammer last year hinted it might return for a 12th season on NBC.

But Variety said NBC president Jeff Zucker had called Grammer last week "to make things final".

It was widely reported that the current season of Frasier would be its last but rumours of a reprieve were fuelled by Grammer.
