Kinks singer shot by mugger

The Kinks front man Ray Davies was recovering today after being shot in the leg by a mugger, US police said.

Davies, 58, who penned Waterloo Sunset, was fired on as he chased two men who had snatched a bag belonging to a woman he was with.
