Lion set for the big screen

Further news of the plans to give Belfast-born writer C.S. Lewis's classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe the big-screen treatment.

A New York company, having bought the rights to the Narnia series of books, is being touted as an upcoming vehicle for New Zealand helmer Andrew 'Shrek' Adamson.

A budget of £70m (€99m) is being discussed.
