White Stripes singer faces assault charge
Jack White has been charged with aggravated assault after an alleged incident between him and Von Bondies singer Jason Stollsteimer.
The frontman with The White Stripes, is accused of attacking Stollsteimer at the Majestic Theatre Centre in Detroit where the pair were attending a launch party.
Prosecutors in Wayne County, Michigan have suggested that he could receive anything up to a year in prison and $1000 in fines if convicted.
He will face court later this week.
Jason Stollsteimer's spokesperson said that Jack White had attacked 'without warning or provocation' while in his defence, a statement outlined that "Jack White defended himself as any normal person would have under the circumstances".
