Harry Connick to star in new musical

Singer and actor Harry Connick Jnr has made a deal to star in and produce a musical film for 20th Century Fox for which he will also contribute original music.

Based on an idea by Connick, Ben Invention is a romantic musical comedy about an isolated man who ventures into civilisation in search of love.

The Grammy-winning Connick, whose Harry For The Holidays is currently the bestselling Christmas album in the US, has appeared in several films, including Hope Floats, Basic, Independence Day and Copycat.
