Russell Crowe becomes a dad

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe has become a father after his wife, Danielle Spencer, gave birth to a baby boy.

Charles Spencer Crowe was born last night, weighing six pounds two ounces, Crowe’s Australian publicist Wendy Day said in Sydney.

“He’s a healthy, bouncing baby boy,” Day said.

New Zealand-born Crowe, the 39-year-old star of Gladiator, married 32-year-old singer Danielle Spencer on April 7 this year in a ceremony at Crowe’s sprawling rural property of Nana Glen, near the east Australian beach resort town of Coffs Harbour.
