Ex-Stone Roses member to release album

Former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire will release his second solo album early next year.

'Marshall's House', due out on February 9, will feature 11 new songs recorded over 12 days in Wales.

According to the musician, all the songs were inspired by American artist Edward Hopper who usually painted solitary, depressed-looking individuals and American scenes.

John Squire is also working on the first ever exhibition of his own artwork.

This will showcase all of his sleeve artwork from the Stone Roses' covers through to his contributions to the 'Help' and 'Warchild' albums.

Meanwhile, a single called 'Room In Brooklyn', will be released on February 2.
