Zellweger and White go ring-shopping

Renee Zellweger is reportedly having more success with men than her on-screen persona Bridget Jones.

The 34-year-old actress was spotted with her boyfriend, musician Jack White, shopping for a ring in Los Angeles last week, just before she left to rejoin the cast of Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason in Thailand.

Zellweger, who had taken a break from filming the British comedy to carry out promotional duties in America for her new film Cold Mountain, spent “several hours” at jewellery stores, according to West Coast reports.

But, instead of a ring, she reportedly bought a vintage scarab and diamond chain.

She met White, of the band White Stripes, in Romania on the set of Cold Mountain, in which she plays a tough Southern farm girl and he has a small role as an itinerant musician.
