In a world now dominated by the computers of Pixar Disney clings to traditional animation for many of its films, as it does in this so-so prehistoric tale of the Frozen North ... and bears and wolves and a couple of comic moose.

The animation is often quite stunning but somehow the film merely underlines the fact that Disney has lost its edge. Here the loss is made even more obvious by the fact that there is hardly anything on screen to truly enchant us ... and Phil Collins sings the theme song!
