Myleene and ex-boyfriend 'haven't spoken'

Chart star Myleene Klass put on a brave face today as she spoke about her recent split from her boyfriend over reports about his past.

The former Hear’Say singer was attending the first birthday celebration of Classic FM TV at the Institute of Contemporary Art in central London.

She described her break-up from bouncer Graham Quinn as a “cooling-off period” and said the pair had not spoken since the split.

“We have had to take a bit of time out and have a bit of a cooling off period,” said Klass.

“We’ve both been under a lot of pressure. At the moment I just want to concentrate on the album.”

Klass, who plays violin, harp and piano and now has a £1m (€1.4m) classical music deal and a new album, Moving On, spoke of the pressures of keeping up a relationship in the public eye.

Asked about allegations against her boyfriend, Myleene said: “I really can’t say anything at this moment and as we’re not together. I haven’t spoken to him.”

“I think anything in the public eye is going to be difficult but you have to decide how much it’s going to impact on you.

“That even applies to having a bad hair day because it’s not just your friends seeing you, it’s the whole world.”
