Irish star Noone heading for Hollywood
Irish college student Nora-Jane Noone is planning to head for Hollywood after being named as a dark horse for a best supporting actress Oscar by Entertainment Weekly magazine.
Noone, who had no previous acting experience, was chosen by Peter Mullen as one of the stars in his controversial study of Catholic Church abuses “The Magdalene Sisters.”
But before getting on a plane for California she wants to gain her college degree in science next year.
“I’ve never been the kind of person to have my future planned out or anything like that,” she tells the Hollywood Reporter.
“But then I will come to Los Angeles and give 100 per cent to acting and see where it goes.”
