Hepburn estate for sale for €10.7m

The Katherine Hepburn estate in Fenwick, Connecticut, where she died in June aged 96, is up for sale for €10.7m, according to newspaper reports.

The house was built for Hepburn in 1939 following a hurricane that flattened her family’s original home on the property.

The three-storey, white-brick home has nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 8,000 sq ft.

The house, which has its own beach, sits along more than 600 feet of waterfront on Long Island Sound and has two long jetties. Hepburn swam there daily, even during the winter.

The multi-Oscar winning actress’s New York City townhouse is also reportedly on the market at €4.5m.
