Coming soon: Branson the movie

One of the most sought-after male roles in the next year will be that of business tycoon Richard Branson in the film adaptation of his autobiography, Losing My Virginity.

No actor has yet been cast in the film, which will begin production next year in England and Japan.

The film is being produced by Los Angeles-based Crystal Sky, whose president, Steve Paul, bought the rights to the book after reading it on a transatlantic flight.

Like the book, the film will chronicle Branson’s transformation from high school dropout to worldwide business mogul and adventurer.

“As a kid-at-heart myself, even I can learn and draw invaluable business and life lessons from his experience,” Paul told Daily Variety.

“He is a great role model; his story is made up of heroism, loyalty and that rare ability to create success out of dreams.

“Richard’s life is an endless action-adventure.”
