Halle Berry has adopted one of the 60 homeless cats used in her latest film Gothika to help her with her upcoming role as Catwoman.

ā€œI’m watching how he walks around and listening to how he purrs and how he plays and when he gets angry,ā€ she tells USA Today. ā€œHe comes up with some good sounds he makes all night long that I’m definitely going to use.ā€

Berry, 37, has just begun filming Catwoman and she is finding it an empowering experience. ā€œWhen I put that suit on I am Catwoman and I can do whatever I want,ā€ she told journalists in Los Angeles. ā€œThe world is my oyster.ā€

She plays Patience Price, a cat-loving gymnast whose alter ego is Catwoman, a crime-fighter who prowls Gotham City at night. Sharon Stone co-stars as the head of a corrupt cosmetics company and Benjamin Bratt plays Gotham City detective Tom Lone.
