Berry gets feline assistance with Catwoman role
Halle Berry has adopted one of the 60 homeless cats used in her latest film Gothika to help her with her upcoming role as Catwoman.
“I’m watching how he walks around and listening to how he purrs and how he plays and when he gets angry,” she tells USA Today. “He comes up with some good sounds he makes all night long that I’m definitely going to use.”
Berry, 37, has just begun filming Catwoman and she is finding it an empowering experience. “When I put that suit on I am Catwoman and I can do whatever I want,” she told journalists in Los Angeles. “The world is my oyster.”
She plays Patience Price, a cat-loving gymnast whose alter ego is Catwoman, a crime-fighter who prowls Gotham City at night. Sharon Stone co-stars as the head of a corrupt cosmetics company and Benjamin Bratt plays Gotham City detective Tom Lone.
