Love blooms at premiere
Romantic comedy Love Actually took another twist tonight when one of the spectators at the UK premiere proposed to his girlfriend.
Marc Andrews – who had won a pair of VIP tickets for the showing – popped the question to Monse Eiroa on the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square.
The love-struck pair were all smiles for photographers after Miss Eiroa accepted.
Crowds who had gathered to watch stars entering the film erupted in applause.
Set in London in the run up to Christmas, Love Actually tells a series of interwoven love stories.
Hugh Grant plays a Prime Minister – based on Tony Blair – who falls for his tea-lady, Martine McCutcheon.
Colin Firth is a love-lorn writer, Billy Bob Thornton plays the US president and Bill Nighy steals the show as a fading rock star.
Love Actually premiered in the US last week and is released here on Friday.
