Cold Feet to be remade in Italian
Hit comedy drama Cold Feet is to be remade in Italian with an all-new cast, it has been announced.
Programme bosses have done a deal to license the format to Italy, a notoriously hard market for foreign TV firms to crack.
The show has previously been sold to the US for a new version, but this is the first format deal in Europe.
Millions of UK viewers were gripped by the lives and loves of six friends and the show made household names of James Nesbitt and Helen Baxendale.
Italian broadcaster Mediaset will remake the show within the next year.
The original version of the show has already been sold to more than 40 countries.
