Name change for Wife Swap to suit US

The British television reality show Wife Swap will undergo a name change before making its debut in America.

The series, from producer Michael Davis, the man behind Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Will simply be called The Swap in America, reports the New York Post.

"There’s nothing salacious about the show outside of the title,” said Davis, explaining the show’s concept to the newspaper.

“This is more starkly real than most programmes – the participants are not in it to get famous or rich. There’s something very voyeuristic about it. It’s an interesting social experiment.”
