Depp to reprise Fear and Loathing's Thompson

Johnny Depp, who played the gonzo journalist Hunter S Thompson in Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, is to return to the character for The Rum Diaries, based on Thompson’s first novel.

The semi-autobiographical story tells of Thompson’s exploits as a vagrant journalist in Puerto Rico, where he lived in a wooden beach shack.
