Flockhart close to West End deal
Former Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart is close to signing a deal that would see her star on London’s West End.
Flockhart has done nothing since her hit series ended two years ago except date aging Hollywood star Harrison Ford.
Flockhart will take the lead in Eugene O’Neill’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie. The play is about a Swedish woman sent away by her father, only to return 20 years later.
Spokeswoman for the production, Sonia Friedman, says "We are in final negotiations and we're very close to doing this deal."
Before finding fame as TV’s most neurotic lawyer, Flockhart acted on Broadway in the plays, The Three Sisters, The Glass Menagerie and Bash.
