Gwynnie plans film break

Gwyneth Paltrow is planning to take a year’s break from filming.

The 31-year-old actress, who stars as the tragic American poet Sylvia Plath in Sylvia, told journalists she has still not recovered from the sudden death of her father, director Bruce Paltrow, just days after her 30th birthday.

“I worked so much in my 20s and I really burned the candle at both ends and I wasn’t too picky about what I did,” she said. “I think the combination of losing my father and turning 30 has completely shifted everything.”

Paltrow, who is dating Coldplay singer Chris Martin and now lives in London most of the year, said she does not plan to return to acting until at least next autumn.
